Food Festival – Inspire to BE! ❤

I haven’t posted for awhile but I’m back ✌

This is the third year of Vegan Food & Drink Festival but my second time attending this event with my sister (✿ Fellow blogger: Blog ✿). It is an entirely vegan experience featuring good food, drinks and live music. It is held in Toronto (August 19th), Chicago (June 10th) and New York (October 1st).

This festival is probably one of my favourites to attend. It is located at Fort York and the event space is spacious which means more vendors. This is an outdoor event, rain or shine and thankfully this year it was full of sunshine. This event requires admission ticket and it best to get it online during the early bird sale for $10 otherwise it is $15-20 at the entrance.

This is the first year that Brunch Fest launched and it was sponsored by Bud Radler. Brunch Fest took place from May 26-28, 2017. I apologize for a late post but I have been busy with work these past few weeks and finally made some time to review this.

As there have been many food festivals in the past and it can go either way; this was a definite miss in my opinion. On the most part, as long as the food is fairly priced and lineups aren’t awful it’s worth checking out. My boyfriend and I were excited to hear about Brunch Fest as we are both fans of brunch food in general.

This event required admission ticket which ranged from $10 to $15 depending on entry time which can be purchased online. Like most events, Brunch Fest sold tickets for food, from what I recall it was around $15 for 10 tickets but correct me if I am wrong.

Brunch Fest was located at 99 Sudbury Lounge. It was mostly an outdoor event and there were some vendors inside the venue as well. The lineups weren’t bad but a lot of vendors ended up running out of certain menu items half way through the event. From the food I tried, I felt the quality was disappointing and below par. If this is what is offered at their restaurants, I am less inclined to try out the restaurant.

Overall, it was an interesting experience but expensive in the end. My boyfriend and I left hungry, is it because we have a huge appetite or food portion was small and disappointing? It was the latter unfortunately. The best item I had was the Duck Confit Hash Poutine from Heirloom but the others were just meh.
